The 2008 New York City bombings was a series of coordinated bombings that occurred across New York City in the spring of 2008. Several were left dead after a construction crane in Tribeca, an out-of-use passenger train on the Manhattan-Bronx line in Harlem, and a private jet at JFK International Airport in Queens exploded, and the citizens of New York were left terrified by the explosions. Fox News blamed the bombings on terrorists, while The Liberty Tree newspaper claimed that the explosions were a series of accidents. However, the bombings had actually been carried out by the American Mafia, specifically the Ancelotti crime family; Ancelotti capo Rocco Pelosi had Tony Prince's bodyguard Luis Fernando Lopez assassinate three rival union leaders with sticky bombs to weaken the Messina crime family.
