The 1st Severia Tank Brigade is an armored formation of the Ukrainian Ground Forces which was formed on 12 December 1942 as a unit of the Soviet Red Army. The brigade became part of the Ukrainian military on the Dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991, and it adopted the nickname Siverska in 2017, replacing its Soviet-era titles. The brigade was stationed in Chernihiv during the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, and the brigade repelled several Russian assaults on the city.
