The 1st District of Columbia Infantry Regiment was a regiment of District of Columbia volunteers that was active from 1861 to 1865 during the American Civil War. Organized from July to OCtober 1861, the regiment garrisoned the capital before fighting in the Valley Campaign, the Battle of Cedar Mountain, the Northern Virginia campaign, the Second Battle of Bull Run, and at the Battle of Fort Stevens.
