The 1986 Spand Express riot was a workers' strike that took place in Miami, Florida in 1986. Delivery truck drivers working for Spand Express went on strike at the Washington Beach depot, and the Patrol Invest Group security guards headed in with clubs to crack some skulls when the strike turned into a riot after two men were gunned down by an unknown assailant. The riot led to two delivery trucks being destroyed, and the riot was put down with some lives lost, including a few security guards shot dead.
