17 (1958 - 2002) was the first cloned assassin created by Dr. Otto Wolfgang Ort-Meyer, though lacked the superhuman abilities of his later clone brothers 47 and the No. 48 clones.
Biography[]
Early life[]
17 was created in 1958 at the Satu Mare Mental Institute in Satu Mare, Romania, the product of Dr. Otto Wolfgang Ort-Meyer who created 17 from the DNA of himself, Triad leader Lee Hong, Cartel boss Pablo Belisario Ochoa, terrorist Frantz Fuchs, and gunrunner Arkadij Jedorov. Unlike his later brothers, 17 was not given extra modified chromosomes to enhance his abilities beyond human limit, which left him inferior to his later brothers. As a result, Ort-Meyer kept 17 locked away within the asylum.
Freedom and work for Zavorotko[]
In 2000, after 17's brother 47 infiltrated the asylum and killed the No. 48 clone series and Ort-Meyer before escaping, Mafiya boss and 17's genetic uncle Sergei Zavorotko and biotech CEO Daniel Morris freed 17 from the bowels of the asylum to work for them.
Though 17 lacked the superhuman abilities of his clone brothers, he was still a highly skilled and efficient assassin and proved useful to Zavorotko. He lent 17 to Deewana Ji, an Indian guru and leader of the destructive cult Gurdwara, who bought one of Zavorotko's stolen nuclear bombs. However, Ji had 17 steal more of Zavarotko's nukes for use by Gurdwara. After 47 assassinated Ji, 17 tried to trick 47 by leading him into a trap, though 47 was privy to this fact and continued on his escape route
Death[]
17 went back to Zavorotko's employment, protecting him in St. Petersburg when an ICA contract by the United Nations was issued on him. Though Zavorotko was secretly in Sicily with the kidnapped Father Emilio Vittorio, 17 set up a decoy cardboard cutout of Zavorotko to fool 47.
47 became aware of 17's presence and garroted him, remarking that he thought he killed all of his brothers years before.
