The 15 March 2025 United States airstrikes in Yemen was a series of airstrikes launched by the United States against the Iranian-backed Houthi movement in Yemen on 15 March 2025.
As American president Donald Trump attempted to pressure Iran to resume nuclear talks, Trump ordered large-scale military strikes on Iranian proxy targets in Yemen. The US military hit radars, air defenses, and missile and drone systems in Yemen in Trump's first significant military action. Trump declared that the strikes were in retaliation for the Houthis' "unrelenting campaign of piracy, violence, and terrorism against American, and other, ships, aircraft and drones," and he warned Iran to stop supporting the Houthis immediately, lest America hol dIran "fully accountable."
