The 13th Alabama Infantry Regiment was an Alabama regiment of the Confederate States Army which was active from July 1861 to 9 April 1865. Raised in Coosa, Wilcox, Macon, Butler, Talladega, Montgomery, Randolph, Elmore, and Tallapoosa Counties, the regiment was attached to the Army of Northern Virginia at Yorktown, Virginia in April 1862 with a strength of 474 effectives. The regiment fought in the Army of Northern Virginia's major battles from the Peninsula Campaign to the Battle of Cold Harbor (losing half of its strength at the Battle of Gettysburg), after which it fought at the Siege of Petersburg and surrendered at Appomattox in 1865.
