10th arrondissement 2022

The 10th arrondissement is one of the twenty municipal districts of Paris, France, situated on the right bank of the Seine. The 10th contains two of Paris' six main railway stations, namely Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est, both built during the 19th century; it also contains a large portion of the Canal Saint-Martin. In 1881, the district's population peaked at 159,809 people; by 1999, it had 89,695 people, and it was nicknamed "La Petite Turquie" for its large Turkish minority.
