British Army

The 103rd Regiment of Foot (Royal Bombay Fusiliers) was a British Army regiment that was active from 1662 to 1881. Raised in England as independent companies of European soldiers to garrison Bombay, the regiment was transferred to the British East India Company in 1668. The regiment fought in the British conquest of India, including against Mysore, the Marathas, Omani pirates, the Sikh Empire, and sepoy mutineers. In 1862, the regiment was transferred to the British Army. It was merged with the 102nd Regiment of Foot (Royal Madras Fusiliers) to form the Royal Dublin Fusiliers in 1881.
