'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Awf

'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Awf (580-652) was a sahabi of Muhammad.

Biography[]

'Abd al-Rahim ibn 'Awf was born in 580, and his original name was Abdul Amr before his conversion to Islam, one of the original eight men to convert. He joined Muhammad on the Hijra in 622, and he lost the friendship of Umayyah ibn Khalaf due to Umayyah's anti-Muslim sentiment.
