'Abd Allah ibn Rawahah (died 629) was a sahabi of Muhammad.
Biography[]
'Abd Allah ibn Rawahah was born to the Banu Khazraj Arab tribe, and he was a scribe and poet during a time when writing was uncommon in the Arabian Peninsula. He was among the 73 people who pledged allegiance to Islam at the Second Pledge at al-Aqabah, and he served as one of Muhammad's commanders. He was killed by the Byzantine Empire at the Battle of Mu'tah in 629.
